Hey! My name is Anna and I am an aspiring Data Scientist. I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree in Data Science at the University of Denver.
My journey into the world of data began with an interest in analyzing sales trends with the goal of optimizing orders for Whole Foods. I have hands-on experience in retail analystics where I enjoyed exploring data to identify trends and improve decision-making processes as a Buyer. This role allowed me to use my insights to enhance inventory management, reduce food waste, and increase sales by 8.88%.
I am excited about the potential of machine learning techniques to solve real-world problems and drive innovation in various industries. In addition to my academic pursuits, I love hiking, camping, and exploring the Colorado mountains. I'm always eager to connect with fellow data enthusiasts -- if you're interested in my work or want to chat about data science, feel free to reach out!
This project was focused on exploratory data analysis using techniques learned in a Data Tools class. It incorporates webscraping, pkls, pandas, and feature engineering. The goal of this project was to explore the data with the aims of setting up for a future statistical analysis.

View GitHub Tutorial ProjectThis was a project conducted in R for a statistics class using Partial Least Squares to explore which variables impact reindeer herd sizes in Finnmark, Norway. I drew inspiration for the content of this project from conversations I had while living and working with the Sami reindeer herders of Kautokeino.
